This time it should make it in one piece _without_ all the virusspeak
garble! The following is a conversion of the Marathon-Class Solomani
Fleet Courier seen in Rats and Cats. The basic idea behind it is that
the Terran Protectorate (the governing pocket empire in _my_ version
of the post-collapse Solomani Rim) recovered the TL-14 hulls of
several Marathon-Class ships and refitted them with TL-12 equipment
(the tech level Terra is currently able to produce, once again in _my_
campaign). Enjoy!

NOTES
The Marathon-Class Solomani Fleet Courier was originally designed to
carry orders and news between task forces and their headquarters.
In the post-collapse era, the Terran Protectorate, one of many pocket
empires scattered across the wilds, has modified the Fleet Courier for
operation in the dangerous outbacks of space. Using recovered bonded
superdense hulls, patches sporadically with molded superdense patches,
the modified Marathon-Class makes the best out of recovered relic
technology.
While the Terran Protectorate is unable to sustain the class' original
TL-14 technology, the Marathon-Class has been refitted with TL-12
weapons technology fit to fight off small vampire ships and corsairs.
In addition, its enhanced armor makes the modified Marathon-Class a
hardy opponent in battle.
A 20-ton gig is attachd by an external grapple to the ship's ventral
surface. The gig is primarily used for port-of-call stops and courier
missions to larger fleet starships that admit ship's boats in enclosed
landing bays.

NOTES
The Ilium-Class Solomani Gig was designed for use with the
Marathon-Class Fleet Courier, but is often seen attached to other
small warships, including Solomani close escort and patrol cruiser
variants.
The Ilium is designed for maximum speed and comfort. It is used to
transfer flag-rank naval officers between starships and as an
emergency vehicle for its parent-ship crew.
